Mary Eggleston

Mary began her professional arts career in 1998 while studying at the University of Queensland and has extensive training in physical theatre with Zen Zen Zo and mime and movement theatre at die Etage in Berlin and founded her own school, The School of Dramatic Arts, Sunshine Coast (SODA) in 2010.

She is a writer, director, producer, singer, University tutor, TEDx MC, puppeteer, stilt walker, cabaret performer, stage and screen actor, and appears regularly at various festivals around Australia (including Woodford Folk Festival, Sydney Children’s Festival, Maroochydore Music and Visual Arts Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Anywhere Theatre Festival).

In 2017, Mary founded the Urban Puppet Project and made a short film called The Baristas of Nambour. She has recently completed working on a solo show and touring Ruby Moon and Detective Smart and the Mathematical Underpants for Queensland Music Festival, Youth Touring.
