PLEASE READ THE RULES All we ask is that your film is 3 minutes long & must include 'the item' – somewhere along the way. Just remember, other people will be viewing your work, so no offensive or poor taste films please! No matter how funny you may find them, they really are not desirable. Your film can be created on any platform you like ... All we ask is that you supply us a finished film on MiniDv PAL format or on DVD in quicktime format (.mov) . Programs with visible time-code will not be accepted. A panel of judges will choose the"Best Festival Film" , "Best Themed Film" & "Best Local Film " the audience will play the role of critic to select the "Peoples Choice Award" with prizes being awarded to these films. There is no limit on the number of people that can be involved in a film, but each name must be in the credits! An individual or group is not restricted to being involved with or making just one film. Multiple entries from individuals or groups are just fine!! An entry fee for each film will contribute to expenses associated with staging the event. The Port Shorts Crew reserves the right to show your film or not. If you wish to have your film returned, please include an express post envelope! Make sure you own it. Don't use stories, music, or characters that you didn't create unless you have permission to use them .... Remember Copyright. If your film infringes any forms of copyright especially music use, we won't show your film. Package the tape properly. Place a label on
the video identifying the title of the film/video, and including
a contact phone number. If you have any questions. please use our contact
