The 2007 Port Shorts Festival Team

HISTORY
The Port Shorts Film Festival, formerly known as the UZI 8mm film fest was incepted over a Sunday afternoon BBQ in a sunny corner of a Port Douglas backyard in 2000.

An idea which began as "Lets all make films amongst our friends & have a film night soire" was the start of an event which attracted over 400 people the first year, 450 people the following year and 550 the year after that!

We were also supported in 2002 & 2003 with a RADF (Regional Arts Development Fund) grant from the Douglas Shire Council..
